Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office and Ciaotou District Prosecutors Office Jointly Convene the Conference on Cooperation among law enforcement Agencies and Anti-Bribery and Violence of the coming Agricultural and Fisheries Union elections

On December 16,2020,2:30 PM, the Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office and Ciaotou District Prosecutors Office invited Kaohsiung City Police Department, Investigation Buro, Agency against corruption, military, Coast Guard Administration, Customs Administration, Immigration Agency to jointly convene the conference "The 109-year Kaohsiung jurisdiction conference of prosecutors with police and the 110-year Agricultural and Fisheries Union elections of investigating election anti-bribery and violence", chaired by the chief prosecutor of Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office Zhuang, Rong-Song(莊榮松), and the chief prosecutor of Qiaotou District Prosecutors Office, Hong Shen- Syu(洪信旭). The head prosecutor of Kaohsiung Branch of Taiwan High Prosecutors Office Zheng Wengui(鄭文貴), was invited to attend the conference to give guidance. The Division-Chief Judge of the Kaohsiung District Court Zhuang Peijun（莊珮君）, the Chief Prosecutor of Supreme Military Procurators office Wu Yisheng(吳逸聖), the Deputy Commissioner of the Kaohsiung City Police Department Chen Shutian (陳書田), the director of the Southern branch of the Coast Guard Administration Song Ziyang(宋子陽), the director of the Kaohsiung Investigation Division, Bureau of Investigation Qin Tailong(秦太龍), the chief of the Southern Mobile Team of the Investigation Bureau Lian Zhenzong(連震宗), the chief of Kaohsiung City Field Division, Maritime Affairs Field Division of the Investigation Bureau Chen Yuyuan(陳宇源), the captain of The Fifth Special Police Corps Gao Shousun(高壽孫), and the captain of the Kaohsiung Harbor Police Department Lin Xinhuang(林新晃), attended the conference as well.

In his speech, Chief Prosecutor Zhuang, Rong-Song(莊榮松) emphasized that the affairs of these offices could be carried out successfully. He was particularly grateful to the Kaohsiung Branch of Taiwan High Prosecutors Office for its supervision and the cooperation of various agencies. He also thanks the Kaohsiung District Court and the Qiaotou Court for their support and guidance on the case. The conference explained the business of the Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office over the past year, and the participants are invited to actively submit their opinions and discuss. Chief Prosecutor Hong Shen- Syu(洪信旭) expressed his gratitude to all units for their assistance in the past year and hoped to work together with all units in the next year. In the speech, the head prosecutor Zheng Wengui(鄭文貴) said that the juvenile justice act has been revised, and it is especially reminded that child delinquency will no longer be transferred to the juvenile court. He also detailed the principle of transformation and handling of fraud cases such as dummy accounts (or telephone numbers).

    In the conference, the Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office and the Kaohsiung City Police Department both presented public affairs reports, and invited the Qiaotou District Public Prosecutors Office and the Kaohsiung Investigation Division to present the special report against violence and election bribery and response actions", "Detection and handling of misinformation cases and predicaments". Every unit and relevant public agencies also designated representatives to participate, discuss together to investigate election bribery and against violence and response measures, declare the determination of various government units to cooperate in combating election bribery and violence, and discuss the "presentation of evidence in cases that may involve citizen judges" and "the preservation of autopsy cases".

In the conclusion of the conference, Prosecutor Zhuang, Rong-Song(莊榮松) appeal the judicial police to strictly abide by procedural justice when performing their duties and refrain from violating the law for the sake of swift handling of the case. He further stated that the election of the Agricultural and Fisheries Union will be coming early next year, we should pay special attention to whether candidates to do the bribery or entertain tourism in the name of the Spring Festival, and strictly investigate illegal election bribery to ensure the fairness of elections and jointly guard the development of democratic politics.
