Kaohsiung Counseling Center - Love Neighbors Rehabilitation Unveiled
In March this year, under the blessing of government agencies and friendly groups, the Kaohsiung Branch of the Taiwan After-Care Association(ACA) and the Association of Christianity, Love Neighbors, and the Whole Person Care Association(WPCA) started a rehabilitation business - Kaohsiung Counseling Center - Love Neighbors Rehabilitation. Here provide temporary resettlement for rehabilitated persons who have difficulty returning home or homelessness, and also assist them to smoothly return to society.
Even if the rehabilitated people are eager to return to society, in front of them are various kinds of difficulties such as discrimination, desire or poverty. Some homeless rehabilitators even face the challenges all alone, and turn out to step back to prison. As a result, WPCA take the responsibility to arrange rehabilitate people in a short period of time. In this temporary rehabilitation center in Daliao Dist, rehabilitators can have access to professional counselling, and accommodation environment. Here also combine social resources to help rehabilitators to deal with their problem in seeking employment, getting medical care, or building social relationship.
After nearly 3 months of renovation, this renewed Counseling center has been unveiled on April 23th 2018. It is estimated to be possible to accommodate 16 beds. This center will keep on providing assistances for the released people to refresh and start over. Hope all rehabilitators can strongly stand up by themselves and never turn back to jail again.
