The Union of Prosecutors, Doctors, and Teachers promotes anti-drug Kaohsiung Prosecurators office, Municipal Education Bureau, Xiaogang Hospital jointed [Drug Out, Campus Safe] press conference The Chief Prosecutor of Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office, Chou Chung-Chin, is worried about the wide range of damages caused by drugs, which has affected young people seriously. To enable students thoroughly understand the harm that drugs may cause physically and mentally, and say no to the drugs, Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office works with the Kaohsiung Municipal Government Education Bureau and the Kaohsiung Municipal Xiaogang Hospital to held a joint press conference on the『Union of Prosecutors, Doctors, and Teachers—Drugs Out, Campus Safe』. Through Union’s multiple advocacy model, it will start from the schools in the Xiaogang area to strengthen students’ knowledge on the category of drugs and damage they may cause, and then extended to all levels schools in Kaohsiung to fulfill the purpose of anti-drug education . Relevant statistics shows that the average age of Taiwanese teenage exposure to drugs for the first time falls at the age of 12.5. It highlights the seriousness of the "drug harms the country and people." Chief prosecutor said that the Kaohsiung Procurators office not only actively check the drug, but also engages in the anti-drug propaganda. The Union aims to introduce new types of drugs and the legal effect of using drugs, to explain how drugs affect physical and mental health, and to remind students to say no to the drugs. The Union hopes that students can bring the concept of anti-drug to the family to prevent the emergence of new drug addicts. Ultimately the drugs can be swept out of the campus, so that students will have a high-quality learning environment to respond to the current national drug control policy, and create a healthier family and society.
