Prosecutors and Police Officers Contributed Tips on Combating Drug Trafficking An old saying “As virtue rises one foot, vice rises ten”, and if it is talking about drug crimes, then it makes law enforcement officers feel challenged, the public unsecured. Since the packages, categories, trafficking methods, and transportation ways of drugs vary, drug dealers and members of criminal congregations improve themselves all the time for further development of drug trafficking. It not only increases the difficulties of combating drugs crimes, but also makes social security threatened due to following crimes, such as robbery and violent crimes and so on. The Chief Prosecutor of Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office, Chou, indicted the best way to fighting drug crimes was to stop its supply chain. Surely, the cooperation and experience sharing among prosecutors and policer officers will be critical keys as well. Therefore, the Chief Prosecutor Chou, and the Chief Prosecutor of Ciaotou District Prosecutors Office, Wang, and the Chief Police Officer of Kaohsiung City Police Department, Chen, jointly presented a brilliant idea to publish the “Combating Drug Crime Manual”, which have collected many skills from rich-experienced law enforcement officers. Its debut was made in the Anti-Drug Conference which was taking place in Kaohsiung on February 16, 2016. In practice, tips on investigating drug crimes should not be revealed publicly. However, for the big worries on drug crimes, the Chief Prosecutor Chou, the Chief Prosecutor Wang, the Chief Police Officer Chen, and many Head Prosecutors decided to share their experiences, knowhow and comments to junior prosecutors and police officers. They contributed so many efforts in the Manual, hoping their colleagues could be inspired and then fight drug crimes more effectively. In the meeting mentioned above, the Chief Prosecutor Chou stressed that the combating drug crimes was like a war and he hoped all prosecutors and officers work more smoothly with the Manual. As to the Chief Prosecutor Wang, he mentioned, it was a must to share successful experiences to all our colleagues. Smartly fighting drug crimes and stopping supply chains was also our holy mission, he said. The Chief Police Officer Chen, with 40-year experience, then said he understood that drug crime threated social security the most, so he hoped our officers could learn from this Manual and have fruitful outcomes. Without hesitation, the three Chiefs had a wish in common, hoping we will make our land, for our beloved families and friends, a peaceful and wonderful living place without drugs very soon.
