Kaohsiung District Prosecutors’ Office, and the Kaohsiung city police department cooperate to crack down drug crime, adopting the new informant method. Prosecutors stationed in 17 police department precincts Over the past few years, cooperation among Kaohsiung District Prosecutors’ Office, police department and customs department to combat drug trafficking and producing has been making good progress, with the drug amount seized up to 1000 kg per year. However, there hasn’t been a substantial decline in the number of drug users, likely due to the rise in on-campus drug selling and the middle and lower stream drug dealing. In order to make good use of the informant method established by the chief prosecutor Chou Chung-Chin(周章欽), in which prosecutors were stationed in 17 police depatment precinct to combat election bribery during the previous election period, Chou appointed 2 anti-drug chief prosecutors, Kao Feng-Chi(高峯祈) and Tseng Ching-ya(曾靖雅) , along with the police to elaborate the plan on combating the middle and lower stream drug dealing, with new informant method employed. The chief prosecutor Chou Chung-Chin(周章欽) and the Kaohsiung city police department commissioner Chen Chia-Chin(陳家欽) gathered all other chief prosecutors, anti-drug prosecutors, and Kaohsiung city police officers, holding a meeting on February 24 in an attempt to cracking down the middle and lower stream drug dealing. In order to achieve the goal, anti-drug prosecutors are going to be stationed in police precinct from time to time, and dedicated police forces would take charge of the narcotics investigations. The chief prosecutor Chou Chung-Chin(周章欽) and the Kaohsiung city police department commissioner Chen Chia-Chin(陳家欽) present the dedicated prosecutors and police officers with flags in the meeting, encourage them making good use of the informants, nationwide drug-user data and all other related information, watching out the middle and lower stream drug dealers, paying more attention to the campus to discover and crack down drug crime, reducing the number of drug users.
