Prosecutors and police quickly seized a suspect who had robbed a bank in Fongshan District.
As soon as being informed a bank robbery had happened in Fongshan District yesterday afternoon by Commissioner of Kaohsiung City Department Chen Jia-Cin, Chief Prosecutor of Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office Chou Chung-Chin immediately assigned Head prosecutor of Special group of major criminal cases Liou He-Shan, prosecutor Wang Chao-Hong, Criminal Investigation Corps and Fongshan Precinct composition of the ad hoc group to trace suspicious leads and suspects. Criminal Investigation Corps arrested a man ,whose surnamed is Xue (Born in 1972), in his residence with the arrest warrant issued by prosecutor Wang Chao-Hong this morning 11:45, 22 hours after the robbery. They also searched his residence with his consent, and found the motorcycle and other evidence which were were used for crime. The prosecutor is questioning the suspect now.
Chief Prosecutor Chou paid great attention to this case, and asked the prosecutor and the police to work closely by all means. Hundreds of police looked into CCTV, and identified a suspect in three hours. As the Suspect had left the country for a few times, prosecutor Wang Chao-Hong issued an order to bar the suspect from fleeing abroad. It is said that the suspect were addicted to video game, therefore the prosecutor directed the police search the video arcade in Fongshan District and wait in suspect’s residence. Police arrested the suspect with the arrest warrant in his residence this morning. Prosecutor will continue to trace if there are other accomplices and where the illicit money goes.
