A Currently Kaohsiung City Councilor involved in defrauding expenses for domestic construction survey, bailed for NT 100,000 A currently Kaohsiung city councilor was suspected to be absent from domestic construction survey activities on Feb 2014, but defrauded the budget NT 30,000 ,which should be paid by actual expenditure, by using receipts from travel agency on March 2014.Originally prosecutors led investigators to investigate city councilors’ procurement scandal on local service suggestion fund, but unexpectedly found out this deception. Head prosecutor Chi-Ming Wang(王啟明)、prosecutor Chun-Liang Liu(劉俊良)、and prosecutor Li-Ya Ma(毛麗雅) command investigators to search one place in Kaohsiung with court warrant ,and inquired the city councilor, the employee of the travel agency, the participants and the witness on 6th May 2015. After questioning the defendants, prosecutors believed that the city councilor was highly suspected to violate Article 5.2 of the Anti-corruption Act (Fraudulently making others to deliver personal property under the cover of legal authority ) and Article 216、210 of Criminal code of Republic of China (using forging instrument). Due to the limited income obtained from the deception, the city councilor was bailed for NT. 100,000.
