“I, as the defender of our democracy”: Chief Prosecutor and head prosecutors cast, An instructional film shot to summon public participation in fighting vote-buying Owing to people’s reporting enthusiastically, Kaohsiung Prosecutor Office (“KPO” hereafter) had an impressive performance by prosecuting many vote-buying offences last year. This year, KPO keeps its endeavors to eradicate vote-buying by cooperating with local neighborhood and winning public support. In September, Deputy Chief Prosecutor Huang, Tsai-Hsiu, with her vitality, vivacity and vibrancy, recorded a promotion commercial in Mandarin and Taiwanese to recruit volunteers to fight against vote-buying, which is aired periodically on various radio stations. Furthermore, Deputy Huang was interviewed in various radio programs to instruct the general public in the procedures of reporting suspicious vote-buying offences and invite public participation to combat vote-buying. On 17 September 2011, KPO Chief Prosecutor Tsai, Jui-Tsung, Deputy Huang and head prosecutors were cast to shoot an instructional film and photos to summon the support from local communities, which is the very first-run nationwide. To be wildly known and spread, the film, in which Chief Prosecutor Tsai exclaims the KPO’s determination to crack down vote-buying and summons public participation to fight against vote-buying, will be broadcast frequently on TV walls at Kaohsiung Police Department Xin-Xing Branch, Kaohsiung Medical University Chung- Ho Memorial Hospital, Kaohsiung Municipal Ta-Tung Hospital, other government agencies and municipal medical institutions. Hopefully, the best and most capable candidates will be elected by a clean election.
