Cooperating with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Prosecutor Yi Tseng, Li (李怡增), directed the South Mobile Work Team of the Investigation Bureau (South Investigation Bureau Unit) to arrest drug smugglers on the fishing boat “Ming-Chi-Li” in the Bashi Channel. On the boat, the police found out Katemine of 24 kilograms (gross weight). This amount is the highest in recent drug smuggling cases, and this could provide appropriately 2,000,000 people to use. The South Investigation Bureau Unite continued monitoring for several months. Thanks to the assistance of the Agency of the Coastal Patrol, “Ming-Chi-Li” was successfully seized. The drug smugglers will face no less than 5 year imprisonment if charged with drug smuggling.
