Since Nov 1, 2006, “The Divisional Investigation Center for Anti-Bribery Election”, established by Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office, will accept the accusation against election-bribery by citizens 24 hours a day.
The 4th Mayor and the 7th Municipal Delegate Election in Kaohsiung will take place on Dec 9, 2006. (The campaign period is from Nov 29 to Dec 8, 2006). To prevent the bribery and violence from intervening the election, “The Anti-Bribery and Anti-Violence Executive Panel” is founded to detect election-bribery. “The Divisional Investigation Center for Anti-Bribery Election” is set up simultaneously to acknowledge the accusation against election-bribery by citizens 24 hours a day.
Under “Encouragement of Informing on Election-Bribery Regulation”, the promotion bonus for informing the officials of election-bribery by mayor candidate is NT 10 million per case. Meanwhile, the promotion for informing the officials of election-bribery by Municipal Delegate candidate is NT 5 million per case. For other types of elections, the promotion is NT 500,000 per case.
